“Final chance”

What if you only have one day left to live?

One day equal to 24 hours

24 hours equal to 1440 minutes

1440 minutes equal to 86400 seconds

It seems like you have much time by just looking at the figures

However, you knows it yourself that it wasn’t true

It’s pouring heavily outside

The coldness strangle you inside

But you still have tons of things in your wish list

You wanted to meet lots of people

You wanted to say final words to your love ones

And asked them for forgiveness for what have you done wrong

Tick, tock, tick, tock

Times fearlessly keep on moving without even a single stop

Without knowing, you are running out of time

You became desperate for each seconds passed

Meeting your lovely parents for one last time

You hugged them so tight while whispering ‘I love you’

You tried hard to stop yourself from crying

Hoping that they won’t realize the real situation

While you are so busy putting a poker face

Your parents knows the bitter truth, giving their best efforts not to show it

And acts along just so you have one last good memories together

There you are, spending few hours of quality time with them as it will be the last one ever

It’s finally down to few minutes left before the time is up

When your eyes catch on someone you have been longing for long

That is him, the love of your life

You really wanted to go to him

You wanted to run and hug him

You wanted to tell him how much you love him

But yet, your legs isn’t reacting as what your heart wants

Your mouth is muttering something but no words really came out

You had a glanced at your parents

They nodded at you as a sign ‘Go’

You gather all your strength left

You started to walk your way

Slowly, step by step until you are one step away from him

You looked at him right in his eyes for seconds

There’s still no word came out

But he understood it all

Your body and legs finally gives up

Right before you fall down on the floor

You feel like someone grabbed your waist and hug you tight

The sounds of people screaming is becoming louder and louder

You are not crying but drop of tears keeps falling down on your face

You tried to figure out what happen but it’s blurry

You cannot see anything except for black shadows surround you

Slowly, the shadows disappear from your sight

The sounds of screaming is getting far away

At one point, you heard no sounds at all

That’s when you know that your time is up

You are feeling a bit regret for not completing your wish lists

But you are glad that you at least had one last chance to be with them, your love ones
