Emotion

“Emotion”

Gloomy and sadness
Expectation and disappointment
Pressure and anxious
Sensitive and moody
Leads to loneliness
Becoming more introvert

The feels, the stares, the unspoken words
Giving such unpleasant vibes
Without knowing we grew apart day by day
From lots of thing to talk to few
From few to none
From family to someone who live together
Finally we just stare at each other for a while
Before walked our own way

We used to laugh together
We used to share things
What happened to the closeness we had before?
I feel distant and not been wanting
The worst part is I feel like stranger at times

Coldness

“Coldness”

Your back that left without hesitation
It looks so cold
Why do you keep drifting away?
I wonder do we end everything like this

I am begging you to stop if you are still mine
But you keep on going and never looks back
My hearts torn apart
It hurts so much
The sadness surrounds me like a fog
I can’t look forward to another day
I can’t distinct between day and night
The long nights become colder since that day

Say he wouldn’t break my heart
He showered me with a lingering affection
But in the end he is the one who broke the promise
Leaving me behind without words
Giving me one last present, it’s the pain
Curving deep wound in my heart
Leaving scars which will never diminished over years

Final Chance

“Final chance”

What if you only have one day left to live?
One day equal to 24 hours
24 hours equal to 1440 minutes
1440 minutes equal to 86400 seconds
It seems like you have much time by just looking at the figures
However, you knows it yourself that it wasn’t true

It’s pouring heavily outside
The coldness strangle you inside
But you still have tons of things in your wish list
You wanted to meet lots of people
You wanted to say final words to your love ones
And asked them for forgiveness for what have you done wrong

Tick, tock, tick, tock
Times fearlessly keep on moving without even a single stop
Without knowing, you are running out of time
You became desperate for each seconds passed

Meeting your lovely parents for one last time
You hugged them so tight while whispering ‘I love you’
You tried hard to stop yourself from crying
Hoping that they won’t realize the real situation
While you are so busy putting a poker face
Your parents knows the bitter truth, giving their best efforts not to show it
And acts along just so you have one last good memories together
There you are, spending few hours of quality time with them as it will be the last one ever

It’s finally down to few minutes left before the time is up
When your eyes catch on someone you have been longing for long
That is him, the love of your life
You really wanted to go to him
You wanted to run and hug him
You wanted to tell him how much you love him
But yet, your legs isn’t reacting as what your heart wants
Your mouth is muttering something but no words really came out

You had a glanced at your parents
They nodded at you as a sign ‘Go’
You gather all your strength left
You started to walk your way
Slowly, step by step until you are one step away from him
You looked at him right in his eyes for seconds
There’s still no word came out
But he understood it all

Your body and legs finally gives up
Right before you fall down on the floor
You feel like someone grabbed your waist and hug you tight
The sounds of people screaming is becoming louder and louder
You are not crying but drop of tears keeps falling down on your face
You tried to figure out what happen but it’s blurry
You cannot see anything except for black shadows surround you
Slowly, the shadows disappear from your sight
The sounds of screaming is getting far away
At one point, you heard no sounds at all

That’s when you know that your time is up
You are feeling a bit regret for not completing your wish lists
But you are glad that you at least had one last chance to be with them, your love ones

Travelogue: Sabah – Day 4

25 September 2015

Labuan

We traveled a bit far on our fourth day in Sabah. We went to Labuan, the home of duty free and cheap chocolates! Eh? Hahaha. I am so excited going there because I have never been there in my whole life. I once got an offer to pursue my study at Labuan Matriculation College for a two years program, but my parents prefer that I continue with foundation of engineering technology (FET) at Kedah Matriculation College. Okay, enough about schools.

It takes almost 2 hours’ drive from our apartment to Menumbok where we’ll be taking a speed boat or ferry to Labuan. Yes dears, you have two choices. Ferry; where you can bring your own car to Labuan and it takes 3 hours to reach Labuan from the jetty. Or, you can get in a speed boat; of course you can’t bring your own car using a speed boat, but if you are in need to save some time or in a rush, speed boat is a great choice. It takes only 30 minutes from jetty to Labuan.

On our way to Menumbok

We chose to ride a speed boat instead of ferry. First, it’s because our trip to Labuan is just a day trip so we need reduce time to go there and more time to explore Labuan (still, we didn’t get to go to many places though). Second, just because we wanted to experience travelling by using a speed boat.

Around the Menumbok ferry terminal

Yellow boat, it's our speed boat ;)

Once we arrived Labuan, we rent another car to travel around Labuan. I told you guys before that there are almost no car rental services offered their cars for hours or half day, right? It took us almost half an hour to coax one of the car rental service at the entrance of the Labuan jetty to rent us the car for only half day. So, we are paying RM100/half day instead of RM180/day. If it was just me alone going to Labuan at that time, I won’t bother to pay that much money. I would rather rent a bicycle to tour around Labuan. It’s much cheaper and you can exercise too! Hehe.

Excited just by seeing the word 'Labuan'

Bicycle rental services available at Labuan jetty

It is almost noon, and it is Friday. We encountered quite a bad traffic jam, we are losing our time there. We managed to fill up our hungry tummy first at one of the restaurant there, before going to Chimney Museum.

Chimney Museum

Entrance fee: Free
Opening hours: Daily; 9.00 am to 6.00 pm

Here’s where the history of the first chimney in Malaysia are located. From the materials to build a chimney to the very first design of chimney, you can found all of them here. It’s quite a good tour since you can learn a lot by touring the museum. I took some pictures of the good information since I’m not really in a mood to read it one by one there.

Trying to jump beside the huge chimney

Outside of the museum, there is one huge chimney were built. We went around to take some pictures for a while before rushing to the nearest Mosque for my father and my brother to perform their Friday prayer. While, for us women, we went to the shopping mall not far from the Mosque, so it is easy for us to pick them after the prayer.

We don’t really have much time, so we were just looking around the shops inside the mall while buying some chocolate. Yes, having some chocolate is a must for us. Furthermore, one of the reason we’re going to Labuan is because of chocolates.

It’s almost 2 when we arrived at the Mosque to pick up the gentlemen. Since we are running out of time before going back to Menumbok, we were just driving around Labuan without stopping anywhere. I didn’t even get to see Labuan Matriculation College with my own two eyes huhuhu. Then, we went back to the jetty to shop for more chocolates before taking another ride of speed boat to Menumbok.

I would like to advice you people to spend at least one night at Labuan, so that you can enjoy more time to go around Labuan.

We finally reached Kota Kinabalu at night, around 7pm. It was our last night at Sabah, so we decided to go to One Borneo mall to have our dinner there and to jalan-jalan. Nothing much to do there. Our first plan was to watch a movie. But, we are all tired due to the long journey back and forth Labuan and we haven’t pack our belongings, so we headed straight to the apartment after buying some snacks for supper.

I saw Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) on the way back. So, that concluded my fourth day in Sabah.

Managed to capture only the signboard

Travelogue: Sabah – Day 3

24 September 2015

Now that we have get enough rest the night before, we are up for something fun today. But before that, Happy Eid-Adha to all Muslim in the world :)

The first place we decided to go of course is the place we didn’t get to go yesterday. It’s The Upside Down House. Since 3D Museum is located just next to the upside down house, we went to the museum as well.

The Upside Down House and 3D Museum

Entrance fee: Malaysian; Rumah Terbalik (Adult - RM10.60 , Child - RM5.30) , 3D Wonders Museum (Adult - RM24.40 , Child - RM 15.90) , Special Combo (Adult - RM31.80 , Child - RM19.10 [for more details, please visit Tickets & Packages (Rumah Terbalik & 3D Wonders Museum)
Opening hours: Monday - Sunday & Public Holiday; 7.00 am - 7.00 pm

Since this is my first time seeing the upside down house, I am quite excited. I was thinking, “Wow, the one who initiate this house must be very creative and bla bla bla.“ There’s a quota of how many people can enter the house at once. We are lucky we didn’t have to wait for so long to enter the house as we are amongst the earliest to be there.

We were inside the house for more or less 10 minutes. The staffs were there too, to give the explanation about the house and the things inside the house. And of course, to ensure people didn’t take any photos inside the house. Well, there are CCTVs too. I wanted to take one, but since there are quite a number of people there and I’m pretty concerned about the CCTVs capturing me taking the photos, I cancelled my plan. Since the things inside the house are also placed upside down, I’m feeling quite dizzy seeing things above me. Luckily, we spend just a short time in the house.

Next, after about 15 minutes self-photography session outside the house (there are place outside the house where you can take photos with the upside down things), we are ready to have some fun and another self-photography session in the 3D Museum, yay!

The Upside Down Car

The Upside Down House

Well, there’s nothing much to tell about the museum aside from there are lots of corners where you can take pictures to your heart content. And yes, no worry there’s also quota here. Certain amount of people were allowed to enter at once so there’s no rush for you to take pictures and it’s not too crowded. Sounds good, huh? The one thing that is a bit uncomfortable is when you have to bring your shoes/sandal/slippers along with you while you exploring the museum. But still, you will be in a good mood to take lots of good pictures. We spend almost 2 hours in the museum. Now, let’s check out some of the photos we have taken inside the 3D museum.

Jambatan Tamparuli

We headed to the famous Jambatan Tamparuli, next. Unfortunately, the bridge is close for some construction and inspection at that time, so we just take some photos and went to the market near the bridge to buy some fruits and snacks. We bought durian (againnn since we are all durian lovers) and decided to eat it by the beach.

Tanjung Aru Beach

And so, we went to Tanjung Aru Beach to enjoy some of our time there. Tanjung Aru beach is located just next to the KKIA airport. You can watch the airplanes departed and landed while relaxing at the beach. It’s quite an interesting view for me.

A must try coconut shake. RM 6 per glass.

Philippine Market

The last place we went for the day was Philippine Market. It’s located very near to our apartment, so can just take 10 - 15 minutes’ walk there from the apartment. We are using the car since we are already outside at that time. Since it was Eid-Adha, not many shops are open. We bought few Sabah traditional biscuits and snacks, pearl brooches and bracelets and also fridge magnets (wajib!) as a souvenirs before heading back home.
