Travelogue: Korea – Post travel (travel costs/budget)


It has been almost three months since I came back from my one week vacation at South Korea. Since I have completed my vacation, here are all the expenses during my visit there.

Currency exchange rate (as of 6th October 2016): KRW 1,000 = RM 3.84

Transportation

Kuching – Kuala Lumpur = RM 74.00
Kuala Lumpur – Kuching = RM 129.00
Kuala Lumpur – Busan – Kuala Lumpur (AirAsia X; including meal, luggage and insurance) = RM 539.00
Busan – Seoul – Busan (Mugunghwa Train) = KRW 57,200
T-money for subway and bus (Busan & Seoul) = KRW 39,000
One day pass (Busan) = KRW 4,500
Gapyeong Tour Shuttle Bus = Free, because I got a coupon from KTO (if didn’t have the coupon and pay cash = KRW 6,000)

Total: RM 742.00 (flights)
Total: KRW 100,700 = RM 386.688


Accommodation

Mr. Egg Hostel Original Nampo (one night) = KRW 23,000
Itaewon Inn (4 nights) = KRW 88,000

Total: KRW 111,000 = RM 426.24

Gamcheon Culture Village = Free (optional - KRW 2,000 for Gamcheon map)
Jagalchi Market / BIFF Square / Nampodong Street = Free
Yongdusan Park / Busan Park = Free
Taejongdae Park = Free (optional – KRW 2,000 for tram ticket)
Oryukdo Walk / Igadae Park = Free
Heundae Beach = Free
Gwanggali Beach = Free
Cheonggyecheon Stream = Free
Hongdae Street / Hongdae Hope Market = Free
Itaewon Central Mosque = Free
Nami Island = KRW 8,000 (for tourist with passport)

KBS Exhibition Hall / KBS Station = Free

Gyeongbokgung Palace / National Palace Museum of Korea = Free, because Korea Festa Sale (if not, need to pay KRW 3,000 for admission)
Changdeokgung Palace = Free, because Korea Festa Sale but not applicable for the Secret Garden (if not, need to pay = KRW 3,000 for admission and another KRW 5,000 for the Secret Garden)
King Sejong Museum = Free
Gwanghwamun Square = Free (can try hanbok for free here)
Nandaemun Market = Free
Myeongdong / Insadong / Dongdaemun / DOOTA Shop = Free

Total : KRW 22,500 = RM 86.40

Gula-gula Eclipse = RM 5.50
3 paket mi Ibumie (1 bungkus ada 5 paket) ; 1 bungkus = RM 4.00 = 4.00 / 5 = RM 0.80/paket ; RM 0.80 x 3 = RM 3.20
Serunding ikan bilis halia (mak buatkan 1 container) = anggaran dalam RM 5.00/container

Total: RM 23.70

       

Roughly expenses = RM 2269.552 + RM 23.70 = 2293.252
